KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The board of directors of the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Wednesday that Executive Director Jim Haney has accepted a multi-year contract extension.
Haney, the fourth and longest tenured executive director in NABC history, has served in the current position since 1992.
“In 25 years as executive director, Jim Haney has provided strong leadership, built solid relationships in intercollegiate athletics, and has made significant contributions in growing the game of basketball and the coaching profession,” said NABC President Bill Self, head coach at the University of Kansas.
The announcement was made during the annual meeting of the NABC board of directors in Kansas City.
