NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show to be Streamed Live on Facebook

The NABC and its multimedia rights holder IMG on Monday announced a collaboration with Facebook to live stream the 2018 NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC and its multimedia rights holder IMG on Monday announced a collaboration with Facebook to live stream the 2018 NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show.
 
The NABC Guardians of the Game Awards show will take place on Sunday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. (CT) in San Antonio, Texas, site of the NCAA® Men’s Final Four®. The Facebook Live stream will be accessible on the official NABC Page.
 
Hosted by CBS Sports analyst Allie LaForce, the NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show will once again feature many of basketball’s top coaches and student-athletes, including an exclusive interview with both NCAA national championship game head coaches.
 
“The NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show is annually one of the most exciting nights of the basketball season,” said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney. “We’re excited to work with Facebook to showcase our honorees and celebrate the game on the world’s largest social network.”
 
The show will also include the presentation of NABC Player and Coach of the Year awards for all divisions, as well as the NABC Freshman of the Year presented by adidas, the NABC Defensive Player of the Year presented by Marriott Rewards, the Pete Newell Big Man of the Year presented by Paramount & Co., the NABC Metropolitan Award presented by Nike, the NABC Golden Anniversary Award presented by Hillyard, and the NABC Guardians of the Game Awards presented by Tallorder.com, among others.
 
The Facebook Live stream will integrate multiple interactive features for viewers, along with a fundraising tool to support the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program.
