KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson has released a statement following the adoption of a new NCAA Division I men’s basketball recruiting calendar on Friday.
“Modernizing the men’s basketball recruiting calendar and recruiting legislation was a truly collaborative effort and included input from coaches representing all levels of Division I. The result addresses the impact of the evolving transfer environment and provides coaches with additional time to support their current student-athletes on campus. The NABC is grateful for the Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee’s eagerness to engage with coaches throughout this process.”
The NABC’s recommendations were developed based on input from numerous coaches and coach-led committees, including the NABC Board of Directors, the NABC Ad Hoc Committee on Basketball Issues, the NABC Assistant Coaches Committee, and the NABC Division I Congress, which includes one head coach representative from every Division I conference.
