  • General FAQs

    Q: What programming does the NABC Convention offer?

    The NABC Convention agenda includes programming relevant to coaches from all levels. NABC Convention programming includes but is not limited to: keynote sessions, on-court X&O clinics, topical classroom clinics, divisional meetings, networking events, awards presentations, and more.     Q: Who typically attends the NABC Convention?

    Coaches from all levels of college, high school, grassroots, and youth basketball annually attend the NABC Convention. Many basketball administrators (i.e. athletic directors, national governing body staff, state high school association staff, etc.) also attend the NABC Convention.

     

    Q: Does the NABC Convention offer formal certification?

    All NABC Convention attendees are eligible to achieve NABC PDS certification. PDS Clinics are broken down into three categories – On-Court Clinics, Classroom Clinics and Fast Breaks – and cover a range of topics including Xs & Os, leadership, ethics and more. To become NABC PDS certified, attendees must attend at least five clinics during the NABC Convention.

     

    Q: When should I arrive at and depart the NABC Convention?

    Programming for the NABC Convention begins Thursday afternoon and runs through Monday afternoon, with Thursday-through-Saturday being the heaviest days of programming. Please note that all NABC Convention attendees who secure housing accommodations through the NABC hotel block are subject to a mandatory four-night minimum stay.

     

    Q: How do I check in at the NABC Convention?

    All NABC Convention attendees must check in at the NABC Convention registration booth to receive their NABC Convention badge and attendee gift. NABC Convention registration hours and location can be found on the NABC Convention schedule of events.

     

    Q: What transportation options are available at the NABC Convention?

    NABC Convention attendees are responsible for transportation to and from the airport. Information on Convention Center transportation and Final Four gameday transportation options can be found here.

     

    Q: What food service is provided at the NABC Convention?

    The following NABC Convention events provide complimentary food and beverages to registered attendees: NABC Marketplace Afternoon Break, NABC Convention Opening Ceremony, NABC Convention Welcome Reception. Additional NABC Convention sessions may include light refreshments.

     

    Q: How can I access more information on the Final Four?

  • Registration FAQs

    Q: Who can register for the NABC Convention?

    All active NABC members are eligible to register for the NABC Convention at discounted member registration rates. Non-NABC members can register for the NABC Convention at the regular registration rate. All registration takes place via the NABC Member Portal.

     

    Q: What does NABC Convention registration include?

    NABC member registration includes:

    • Access to all NABC Convention clinics and general programming
    • Access to applicable NABC Convention divisional meetings
    • Access to NABC MARKETPLACE
    • Opportunity to earn NABC PDS certification
    • NABC Welcome Reception ticket
    • NABC Convention bag
    • NABC Convention gift
    • Free admission to the NABC-Reese’s College All-Star Game
    • Option to purchase NCAA Final Four ticket (based on availability)
    • Access to the NABC housing block (based on eligibility and availability – cost incremental)

    Q: What is the NABC Convention cancelation policy?

    NABC Convention registration fees canceled on or before January 31, 2024 are refundable but subject to a $50 administrative fee. Convention registration fees canceled between February 1 and March 1, 2024 are refundable but subject to a $125 administrative fee. Convention registration fees canceled on or after March 2 are non-refundable.

    The NABC does not resell Final Four tickets purchased by NABC members. If you cannot attend the Final Four games, you may list your ticket(s) on the Official NCAA ticket exchange at ncaa.com/exchange. This is the only approved method for NABC members to resell Final Four tickets.

     

     

    Q: I logged into my NABC Member Portal account to register for the NABC Convention. Why am I not given an option to purchase a Final Four ticket?

    There are three possible reasons why you are not being given the option to purchase a Final Four ticket.

    1. Your account has been flagged as being “Unverified.” If your account is marked “Unverified,” it means that you are currently holding a coaching position, and you have not provided the NABC with verification of your position. Verification of your coaching position is required every year. Check your verification status by following these steps:
    • Log into your NABC Member Portal account
    • Click the profile icon in the top-right of the screen, then click “My Profile.”
    • “My Info” should be highlighted in blue.
    • Under the header “Personal Information,” click the pencil icon
    • Scroll down the page to view your verification status
    1. You have a previous ticket infraction, and your options to purchase tickets have been revoked.
    2. The tickets based on your membership type are currently sold out.
  • NABC Member Account Management FAQs

    Q: I am having trouble logging into my NABC Member Portal account. Can you reset my password?

    Yes, the NABC membership staff will be able to reset your portal login. You will need to send a request for a portal login reset to membership@nabc.com. The reset can take up to 24 hours.

     

    Q: My NABC Member Portal address or phone number needs updating. How do I update my information?

    • Log into your NABC Member Portal account.
    • Click the profile icon in the top-right of the screen, then click “Login.” Once logged into your account, move forward to step #3.
    • Click the profile icon in the top-right of the screen, then click “My Profile.”
    • “My Info” should be highlighted in blue.
    • Under the header “Personal Information,” click the pencil icon.
    • Click on the address you would like to update. Once you update the home or work address, you must click the blue highlighted “Validate and Save Address” link to save the changes.

     

    Q: How do I submit a verification letter, and what should the verification state?

    Acceptable forms of verification are:

    • Presented in the form of a letter; Your verification letter must be signed and dated by your Athletic Director, Principal, or Head Coach. Your letter must include the following information: your name, position title, and clarification if your position is full-time or part-time. Verification letters can be uploaded through your NABC Member Portal account or emailed to membership@nabc.com.
    • An emailed copy of your athletic bio stating your name, position title, and clarification if your position is full-time or part-time.
    • Lastly, the NABC will accept an email confirmation of your coaching position if your signature includes your school name and current coaching position.

    Once your verification is received, it can take up to 72 hours (three business days) for your account to reflect the changes.
