KANSAS CITY, Mo. – National Association of Basketball Coaches Executive Director Craig Robinson has released the following statement in response to TCU coach and NABC Board of Directors President Jamie Dixon being named a co-recipient of the 2021 USA Basketball Developmental Coach of the Year Award.
“Jamie Dixon’s extensive basketball knowledge and passion for player development has been apparent throughout his career, and was again on clear display this past summer through the success of the USA Basketball U19 World Cup Team. Jamie is one of the most respected and influential leaders in our sport, and on behalf of the NABC, I congratulate him on earning this prestigious honor from USA Basketball.”
Under Dixon’s leadership, the Team USA captured the gold medal at the U19 World Cup. Dixon was assisted on the team by Stanford coach Jerod Haase and Yale coach James Jones.
