KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson has released a statement following the announced retirement of Virginia coach Tony Bennett.
“Tony Bennett has long been a coach that other coaches look up to. His teams reflected their coach by playing with a distinct style and discipline – producing championship results along the way. And the respect Tony earned among his peers for his integrity and professionalism was both well-documented and well-deserved. Though Tony’s retirement is certainly a blow to our sport, I’m confident his impact will continue to be felt. On behalf of the NABC, I wish Tony and his family well as they make this transition.”
