NABC Statement on Student-Athlete Name, Image and Likeness

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC Board of Directors has released the following statement on student-athlete name, image and likeness:
“As coaches, advocating for and enhancing the well-being of student-athletes is our highest priority. Accordingly, the NABC supports the action taken last week by the NCAA Board of Governors to begin the process of modernizing student-athlete name, image and likeness bylaws and policies. Moving forward, the NABC stands ready to assist the NCAA throughout the process of updating name, image and likeness legislation in a manner that best serves the needs of student-athletes from all levels of our game, and will continue to educate our membership as the proceedings take shape.”
