KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson has released a statement following Villanova coach Jay Wright’s retirement announcement.
“Jay Wright has been one of our game’s foremost ambassadors throughout his Hall of Fame career. His on-court accomplishments are nearly unmatched in this era, capped by two national championships and four Final Fours. By serving as a mentor and role model to countless colleagues and advocating for the game on numerous influential NABC committees, his contributions off the court have been just as impactful. The game of basketball and the coaching profession are better because of Jay Wright, and on behalf of the NABC, I congratulate him on his retirement.”
