KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Yeshiva senior guard Ryan Turell has been voted as the 2021-22 NABC Division III Player of the Year, it was announced on Thursday. Turell becomes the first Maccabee in program history to earn NABC Player of the Year honors.
Turell was named the 2022 Skyline Conference Player of the Year for the second-straight season, and earned a spot on the All-Skyline First Team for the third time in his career. The Los Angeles native averaged 27.1 points per game – currently the highest scoring average in Division III – and recorded 30-plus points nine times this season. He shot 58.7 percent overall and 46.8 percent on three-pointers while also averaging 5.5 rebounds per game.
Behind Turell, Yeshiva finished the season 25-4 overall and won the Skyline Conference Tournament to earn a bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship.
