Middlebury’s Brown Named to NABC Board of Directors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Middlebury College head men’s basketball coach Jeff Brown has been named to the NABC Board of Directors, it was announced on Thursday.

The NABC Board of Directors provides strategic oversight of the NABC and leads the association’s advocacy work on behalf of coaches across all divisions. Brown joins Chicago’s Mike McGrath, Wheaton’s Mike Schauer, and Stevenson’s Gary Stewart as NCAA Division III representatives on the Board.

Brown has been the head coach at Middlebury since 1997, where he has won over 400 games and led the program to four NESCAC championships. He is a two-time NABC District Coach of the Year and a five-time NESCAC Coach of the Year, and has served on the NABC Division III Congress. Prior to Middlebury, Brown was the head coach at Bates and an assistant at Vermont and Manhattan.

“Jeff Brown has been a leading voice in Division III for many years and is well respected by coaching peers throughout college basketball,” said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. “He will be an asset to the NABC Board of Directors as we continue our work to serve coaches and advance the game.”

“I am pleased to join the NABC Board of Directors and I look forward to working with colleagues on the Board,” added Brown.
