KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson has released a statement regarding the passing of longtime Louisville men’s basketball coach Denny Crum.
“The passing of Denny Crum is a profound loss for our entire sport. Denny’s status as a Hall of Famer and one of college basketball’s all-time great coaches is unquestioned – few have ever matched his list of on-court accomplishments. But beyond the national championships, Final Fours and coaching awards, Denny lifted up our profession. He was passionate about serving the NABC, including a stint as NABC Board of Directors President. And he leaves behind an extensive coaching tree that will continue to impact the game for years to come. On behalf of our NABC membership, I offer my deepest condolences to Denny’s loved ones and the Louisville program.”
