NABC Statement on House v. NCAA Settlement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson released a statement in response to the NCAA and the autonomy conferences agreeing to settlement terms in the House v. NCAA case.

“While the NABC is not a party to the House v. NCAA case, we nonetheless commend efforts by the NCAA and the autonomy conferences to reach a settlement. We urge NCAA and conference leaders, plaintiff attorneys, elected officials, and other key stakeholders to press on towards additional long-term, stabilizing solutions that support student-athlete wellbeing and cultivate opportunity, competitive equity, and academic achievement across all levels of college sports. The NABC also acknowledges the outsized role that men’s basketball and the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will continue to play in upholding the entire college athletics ecosystem, and we are prepared to help lead our sport into this new chapter.”
