KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brooks Miller, who led his Trine program to its first NCAA Division III national championship, has been named the 2024 NABC Division III Coach of the Year presented by the Marines.
Miller guided Trine to a 29-4 overall record this season, including a 12-2 MIAA mark that earned a share of the regular season conference title. The Thunder’s six-game run through the NCAA Tournament included wins over nationally-ranked Coe, Wisconsin-Platteville and Trinity (CT), followed by a 69-61 victory over top-ranked Hampden-Sydney in the title game.
Trine outscored its opponents by an average of 11.4 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot just 41.4 percent overall this season.
Miller just completed his 13th season as the Trine head coach. He is the first Thunder coach to earn NABC Coach of the Year honors in program history.
