Keene State’s Brito Named NABC Division III Player of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Keene State senior guard Octavio Brito was announced Thursday as the 2025 NABC Division III Player of the Year. He becomes the first NABC Player of the Year in Owls program history.

 

Brito earned Little East Conference Player of the Year honors after averaging 22 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game this season. He shot 51.8 percent overall, 81.3 percent from the foul line, and 38.3 percent from long distance while scoring 20 or more points in 19 games.

 

Brito was also named to the LEC All-Defensive Team.

 

Behind Brito, Keene State finished 23-6 overall, won both the LEC regular season and tournament titles, and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
