KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jim Crutchfield, who led Nova Southeastern to the program’s second Division II national championship in three seasons, has been named the 2025 NABC Division II Coach of the Year.
Nova Southeastern defeated Cal State Dominguez Hill 74-73 in Saturday’s title game, capping off a 36-1 season. The Sharks went 19-1 in Sunshine State Conference games, and finished the season on a 23-game winning streak.
Crutchfield’s team led the nation in scoring at 101.7 points per game, and outscored its opponents by an average of 22.4 points per game. The Sharks forced 18.4 turnovers per game and attempted over 200 more free throws than their competition over the season.
Crutchfield also won NABC Division II Coach of the Year honors following Nova Southeastern’s 2023 national championship.
