A Message From NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson

Dear NABC members,

One of the first priorities I outlined after joining the NABC staff was to increase coaches’ representation and elevate coaches’ voices on national issues that impact our sport. While work remains to truly give coaches a seat at every table, we’ve undoubtedly made significant progress in this pursuit.

And you are the reason why.

Over the past two years, the NABC has made numerous requests for coaches’ input on a variety of issues. These efforts are strategic – the more quantifiable and anecdotal rationale we can put behind our advocacy work, the more weight our recommendations will carry.

To those who have taken the time to lend your perspective – whether by serving on a NABC committee, completing a survey, or simply answering a call – I offer my sincere thanks. And I’m asking that you keep it up.

The future of college athletics is at an inflection point, and it’s more crucial than ever that, as coaches, we make our voices heard. To that end, I encourage you to attend the upcoming NABC Convention and participate in our divisional meetings. The discussions that take place in New Orleans will play a vital role in charting how the NABC will plan to address the challenges and opportunities facing college basketball.

As leaders in the NABC, your presence at the Convention will signify to our entire profession the importance of investing in their careers and serving the game.

If you have not yet registered for the 2022 NABC Convention, you can do so now via the NABC Member Portal. If needed, our NABC membership staff is available to assist you with the registration process; they can be reached at membership@nabc.com or 816-878-6222.

For those who won’t be with us in New Orleans, we will also continue to leverage virtual and digital spaces to garner your valuable feedback.

I look forward to continuing our collective work as Guardians of the Game!

Sincerely,

Craig Robinson

NABC Executive Director
