KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC Board of Directors is in full support of the NCAA and NAIA decisions to cancel their upcoming men’s basketball championship events, including the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. This necessary step is consistent with coaches’ broad support of the actions already being taken by many of our institutions and conferences. While the disappointment experienced by student-athletes, coaches and fans will be substantial, the health and wellbeing of our communities is of ultimate importance amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
